We are hiring a Financial Adviser for an immediate start in our fast-growing broker firm in Dublin.
DESCRIPTION
As a key account financial broker, you will be responsible for building up your own client book by advising on and selling a range of mortgage protection, life cover and pensions policies from qualified inbound enquiries from our digital platforms.
THE BUSINESS
PHD Financial Services Ltd T/A Ocean.ie / Ocean Finance is a boutique brokerage based in Finance House, Prussia Street in Dublin 7 right alongside the forthcoming Technology University for Dublin campus.
You will be joining a firm which is at the vanguard of a revolution in personal finance which combines our own proprietary digital technology platform and paperless policy writing with a human-centric approach to building sustainable financial relationships with clients.
OPPORTUNITY
This is an opportunity for someone with ambition who wants to enhance their career progression and earnings by working directly with the company directors.
In this business, you can ‘write your own ticket’ rather than being a small cog in a large sales machine.
You will be expected to lead from the front and help generate best business practice rules for converting the growing volume of client prospects who want advice on buying protection products from life companies who we have agencies with (including Zurich, Aviva, Royal London, New Ireland and Irish Life).
SUITABILITY
- You have already demonstrated that you can generate sales in the personal finance sector.
- You are a great communicator and confident in any client-facing setting be it by phone, written correspondence or in-person consultations.
- You are QFA qualified (or are currently taking exams in same).
- You can manage the entire sales cycle from initial opportunity to client fact-find to policy underwriting and closure.
- You will be comfortable using a customer relationship management database system (e.g. Wealthtrack), electronic signature tools (e.g. Docusign) and have attention to detail in maintaining proper records for Central Bank and GDPR compliance.

REMUNERATION
As stated above, there is an opportunity to ‘write your own ticket’ here. You can avail of a guaranteed salary with an uncapped commission and bonus structure on the upside.
We are willing to negotiate on a package which suits you bearing in mind your relevant experience to date and particularly your performance as we go forward.
