PHILIP DOYLE – MANAGING DIRECTOR

Philip is a Qualified Financial Adviser with Ocean Finance and has over 20 years experience in the Financial Services sector in which he has worked for such companies as Price Waterhouse, Irish Life, Aon Consulting, Irish Mortgage Corporation and Irish Tax Store.

He joined with his fellow director Terry Palmer to set up Ocean Mortgages and Ocean Finance in 2006 to date. Philip specialises in Pension & Taxation advice for both the individual and also Company structures. He currently advises many of Ireland’s top companies and their Senior Executives in relation to their financial affairs.

My guiding principal is to assist and advise clients in arranging their financial affairs in order to get the best results possible in a professional, timely and efficient manner’.

TERRY PALMER – OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Terry has over 18 years’ experience in the financial services sector beginning with Bank of Ireland. He also held positions with TUSA, Irish Mortgage Corporation and First Active.

He left First Active in 2006 to join his fellow directors in establishing Ocean Mortgages (now Ocean Finance). Terry also had a very successful career in League of Ireland Football making over 300 league appearances over a 15 year period for UCD, Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians.

Terry graduated from University College Dublin in 1993 with a BA in Economics and History. He also has a Post graduate diploma from DIT (Mountjoy Square) and is a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA).

Terry prides himself on his professional customer service and this is supported by numerous testimonials from appreciative clients. Using his many years of experience in the financial services industry, he is well equipped to dissect the various options available in order to provide the best solutions to suit his clients’ individual needs.

LIAM BURNS – CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT

Liam Burns is a Qualified Tax Adviser and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Continuing his professional development, Liam has gained another professional qualification becoming a Chartered Tax Adviser with the Irish Taxation Institute.

After that Liam became Tax Manager in a Dublin based practice allowing him to gain valuable experience advising on tax planning, revenue audits and inquiries, and capitalising on tax saving opportunities.

With his qualification and experience, ocean.ie are able to offer enhanced tax advisory and accounting services to its clients, particularly to those who are self-employed, owner/directors or you have ancillary income such as rent from property.

Liam also is part of the Lecturing team in Griffith College Dublin.
